Not sure when we will get launched but the view from our ”land yacht” is good enough for now and the weather is fabulous.
Lots of jobs completed today and I am pleased to report that all of our batteries have survived the winter and our electrical system is now fully recommissioned. The plumbing is all OK too so all that painstaking preparation has paid off.
The shipyard have been working hard on the rudder for most of the day and their work is nearly all done.
Joe arrived mid afternoon from the UK and got introduced to Shimshal in its most chaotic state with tools everywhere, floorboards all up and a score of jobs in progress. He was either genuinely un-phased by it all or just too polite to comment!
The 24 hour daylight is very disorientating and I think it will take us a few days to adjust to the midnight sun.
