The Green Haze
The landscape has taken on a softly focused green haze for the last two days. The reason is a population explosion of Black Fly which has forced us (and the natives) to net up with green nets worn over a wide brimmed hat. We have just walked to the store to pay our harbour dues and we must have looked like a couple of bank robbers strolling along the boardwalk. We paid our seventeen bucks and the nice lady who takes the money for docking even apologised for the flies and explained that they are not normally this bad. They are ferocious!
