The lawn is scythed and the bean counter is counting her beans. Bumper crops of apples, blackberries, red currant, black current, broad beans, runner beans, gooseberries, and evening the tomatoes are ripening nicely. The courgettes though did not prosper and fell victim to poor compost, overwatering and some very fat slugs.
