Circumnavigation of Luing

Catching the tide going north up the sound of Luing meant that we arrived at Cuan Sound with the flood still going like the clappers. If we waited for slack water then we would finish with a night passage home and so, after dithering for a while, we struck out against the tide. A couple of helpful eddies gave us a boost and we clashed paddles as we both dug deep beneath the power lines. But then we were through and back at the boathouse by sunset with little energy left in the tank.
