Sunshine, light winds and flat seas made today a perfect kayak day. Leaving the boat on Jo-Ann’s mooring we paddled around Gifford, Zwicker and Ernst Islands in perfect conditions. An osprey flew overhead, an otter peered at us from 20m away and cormorants, ducks, geese and loons were everywhere.
We met Jo-Ann and Gene mid channel when hey paused their speedboat to chat. The day concluded with a move to Young Island and supper aboard Shimshal with Peter and Terry.
