The arrival of 8 new Blue Heron 105 amp hour LiFePO, Bluetooth controlled batteries on the dock meant that we had to get off the boat to make room for Ian the installer. Vicki offered a road trip to Deltaville, York Town, James Town and Williamsburg and we readily agreed. This part of the USA is steeped in history with first settlers, the War of Independence and the Civil War.
Virginia, assisted by the Rockerfeller Foundationhas done a great job of preserving the battlegrounds and historic buildings of the period. A period in which the Brits were finally expelled from the the Colony and Cornwallis surrendered.
Many sights seen and, on our return, we discovered that Ian had had a good day too and we still had power for lighting. All good on a an unseasonably warm, perfect autumn day with the leaves now falling fast.

Two of the old AGM’s remain as backup should the new lithium bank go down. They will receive the charge from the old wind generator which was not designed to charge lithiums.
