On Thursday, all ready and keen to move forward we decided to move south from the north of the Pearl islands to the very south. The 20 to 25 knot winds would be behind us and it would be a test for boat and mainly the tummies of the new crew. A lovely 4 hour sail later we were 25 miles closer to Galapagos with tummies in tact and tucked into a bay sheltered from the wind.
We spent the rest of the afternoon trying to keep cool, inspecting the Hull for unwanted stowaways and then Heather and I went snorkeling.
Friday morning we topped up batteries, water tanks and Sally made passage curry as the forcast was guite boisterous.
At noon we upped anchor and sailed away, next stop Galapagos, only about 900 miles to go.
The afternoon passed quickly, 20 knot winds ment fast sailing under a single jib at a good 8 knots. We even had a small pod of dolphins 🐬 playing at the bow to send us on our way. As darkness fell we ate Sally's curry, only a bit for me, and settled in to our 2 hour watch routine. We are finally off.
