Boat bread and island land fall

We pulled up anchor this in the still of an sunrise start. The first hour or so was under power but then thankfully we were blessed with the arrival of a gentle breeze which allowed shimshal to show up what she can do under full sail. A lovely smooth sail between 5 and 6 knots was a good way to ease us into a sailing life.
Heather has been practicing baking bread for months at home and produced her first boat bread today. The boat smelt wonderful and we ate it all for lunch.
Mid afternoon brought us to the isla de Pearl where we anchored off a sandy beach.
Another swim and some boat chores, this time Sally got the naughty seat up the mast, stitching leather around the ends of the spreaders to stop the sails rubbing.
Tomorrow we will venture ashore to explore.
