We have been doing an huge amount of swimming from the boat, there is however nothing quite like fresh water.
Yesterday we found what may be the best waterfall pool yet.
After a hot walk up a dirt road we started along a narrow trail through the jungle, loosely following a stream up hill we waded through fords , pushed through banana palms and scrambled up steep muddy banks. Eventually the jungle opened up into a sun filled bowl, the entrance guarded by borders, surrounded by rock walls dripping with ferns and greenery, the back wall a cascade of foaming water with a deep green pool beneath. Looking upwards deep blue sky fringed with the green of the jungle canopy.
The water cool and silky-smooth, washing and dissolved the accumulated salt from our skin. We stayed a while!. We will also be back if we stay here long enough.
