The blow goes on

The blow continues and friend are still hunkered down in the Tuamotu where they are seeing 40 knot winds in their anchorages. We are much luckier and are enjoying our sheltered haven that only occasionally admits gusts of up to 28 knots. Friends in Tahiti have been dragging their anchors and we are continually warned of the consequences of dragging by the wrecked ketch half a mile downwind of our mooring.

Tonight the seas will peak and gradually the winds will decline over the next few days. We hope to get moving again on Thursday.

We have a car hire booked for Monday.
