To Toau

We continue to thread our way west through the UNESCO Bisosphere Reserve and have, for the first time in 7 months and 5,500 miles, picked up a mooring. We are in a tiny blind pass on the western end of Toau where the government has installed moorings to protect the delicate reef from anchors and chain. We should be able to do some fine snorkelling and diving tomorrow on the reef which is only a few metres from the boat. In the meantime we have a sunset and full moon to enjoy. It’s also the winter solstice in the South Pacific.
