A rest day in Ljubljana allowed us the opportunity to meet up with an old Medex friend from Slovenia. We had last seen Petra Goljaj in 2008 when she came on our expedition to the Hidden Valley and Mustang as a sports scientist. She is now a full professor of Biology in Ljubljana University and found the time to meet us for coffee on the 12th floor of the SkyScraper which, when built in the 1930’s, was the tallest building in Central Europe.
We had a fun time chatting and reminiscing with Petra before walking back to our hotel across the Tivoli Park. It’s great to meet old friends in strange places!
