It’s time to offset some carbon and so this week we are planting 200 new trees at Traighuaine. Willows this time and a we have already fenced in a 40 metre section of our western boundary. After a few years they should, with luck, yield logs to keep us warm, some new habitat and a visual screen should our neighbour’s planning application come to anything. They will definitely keep the red deer well fed!
Carol Graham of Ardfern provided the the 2 metre whips and the picture at the bottom is of a 4 year old fedge in Ardfern. I think our’s won’t look so manicured!
