We had gone to Annapolis for the OCC Annual General Meeting and Award Dinner which was a great success. After waving goodbye to our Annapolis hosts, Peter and Patty, we cycled to the graduate hotel to give out excess gear to John van S who had kindly agreed to fly with it back to Nova Scotia so that we could be reunited with it at an OCC gathering he was arranging for 7th May at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron.

Leaving Annapolis behind
Much of the first 40km was along a disused railway between Annapolis and Baltimore that had been turned into a deluxe bike path.
Arrival in the outskirts of Baltimore - the US city with the highest murder rate! We stayed downtown in the Comfort Inn.
