When anchored in Chester we dropped a line to a few folk who lived here whom we knew were members of either the OCC or the CCA. Within minutes we had one invitation for morning coffee and another for a delicious home-cooked supper with six other like-minded souls. Fascinating company. Our tenuous anchorage was also upgraded to a heavy duty mooring right in the middle of the harbour. The hospitality and generosity of the cruising community never ceases to astonish and this lovely town of Chester is no exception.
